Toyota Fortuner 2021
Japanese automaker Toyota has launched the facelift version of its county famous Fortuner today itself. The demand for the vehicle has been high in the market since the very first time it was launched in India in 2009. The very first Fortuner in the Indian market was loved by all the enthusiasts as it offered quite promising featured that its competitors didn’t offer at that time.
Toyota Fortuner 2021 details
India has been a very promising market for all the automakers when it comes to mid-sized SUVs like Fortuner, Endeavour, Alturus G4, and other vehicles. However, Indians have not yet gone bored of Toyota Fortuner from the first time it entered the market in 2009. It definitely takes the cake by being the company’s best-selling vehicle in India.
The all-new 2021 Toyota Fortuner facelift has entered the Indian market today itself. This is being considered a major update in the vehicle since the launch of the 2016 Toyota Fortuner being sold currently in the Indian automotive market.
Other than the pricing, quite a lot of small amendments have been made in the facelift version of the vehicle. The front grille has an all-new mesh pattern larger in size than the previous one. The LED headlights and taillights have also been revamped.
The interior of the vehicle has not changed much. An update was actually necessary in my opinion since the previous version lacked some features in comparison to its rivals. However, the infotainment screen has been updated to an 8-inch touch screen system that comes with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as well. The driver and co-driver seats are now 8-way power-adjustable and ventilated as well.
The top model for the Toyota Fortuner Facelift version is named Legender. It is a sportier version of the Fortuner Facelift just released. The front grille is now split and comes with a different front bumper and different alloy wheels. Legender colour is only offered in 1 dual-tone colour, pearl white body with contrast black roof.
The pricing for the facelift version of the vehicle has been increased. The base model starts from 29.98 lakh rupees (ex-showroom pricing) and the top model of the vehicle goes up to 37.43 lakh rupees.
The Toyota Fortuner Facelift Legender is priced at 37.58 lakh rupees.
Toyota Fortuner Facelift is now more expensive than its rival SUVs like Ford Endeavour or Mahindra Alturas G4 or even the MG Gloster. Even in such a scenario, the Indian market has usually favoured the Fortuner over every other SUV in the market. The automaker now has quite a lot of expectations from the facelift version of the vehicle. However, I feel if one already has the 2016 Fortuner, there is actually no need for an upgrade to the facelift version since not much has really changed.
